Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Hello new friend, and welcome to Lyndsey McGuire Writes.  This is a passion project that has been a long time in the making.  Writing is, and always has been, in my DNA.  Not long ago, I joined an online writing community.  The effect of writing and reading in a group setting has been profound.  My experience in group, made me fall deeply in love with our collective humanity; the way we love, how we ache, the ways in which we bear our pains and frustrations. When we write in the way that I will teach you to write, pretension, expectation, and egoic blocks begin to fall away. What emerges are the stirrings of the subconscious; deeply held memories, sensory experiences, the stuff of dreams.  With regular practice, putting these things on paper moves them out of your body and onto your page.  What emerges is often fresh, unexpected, contemplative, and raw.  

In writing group we don't offer feedback of any kind.  We simply listen and share.  Simple though it may seem, a community that listens deeply is a gift.  I am so excited to extend this gift to you, and I am delighted to facilitate your writing journey.
