Spring Writing Group
Service Description
Join facilitator Lyndsey McGuire for this six-week online immersion into prompt-based writing. Inspired by the teachings of Natalie Goldberg’s "Writing Down the Bones," students are encouraged to keep their pens moving and to write without restraint or the impulse to edit along the way. This style of writing allows for messiness, imperfection, and spontaneity. There is no criticism or feedback given. This helps to not only take the constraints and expectations off of the writer, but also helps to hone deep listening skills. In the context of a supportive group container, writers of all skill levels are invited to explore their creativity and to access our shared humanity by telling the stories that reside within each of us.
